UK tribes

UK Tribes

One of the tribes that I think I am apart of is the 'Get paid crew' this is because I am driven to do well and earn good money when I'm older. I also think I am apart of this tribe because I have already planned what I want to do when I'm older and how I am going to get into that job and I want to do as well as i can during that job and whilst at school.

I also think that I am a trackie, this is because I like to sit back, chill and watch a lot of movies. I do this when I have free time but I try to create as much free time as possible to I can fully be a 'trackie'. I also think I am apart of this because I want to achieve that why I have said I'm part of the 'Get paid crew' but sometimes people in my family don't think I have the full motivation.  

So overall I can class myself in the 'urban' tribe. This is because in the description for urban it says that "Urbans are best known for music – from r’n’b, grime, UK bass and funky to old school jungle and rap." This is further true and describes me in some ways that I do like some funky music like Kool and the gang and i also like Rap like Warren G. So I think that I can fully class myself in the overall 'urban' tribe because of the way it describes all the aspects that make you part of that tribe but also part of the smaller tribes like Get paid crew and Trackies.

Who I model myself after

I think that I style myself like Damon Albarn the lead singer of blur, this is because of the way he dresses, he wears Levi’s and Adidas Gazelles also he wears just a normal t-shirt. I wear Levi’s and Gazelles, i wear this because I just like the style that it is a casual way of dressing but it doesn't look scruffy unless the shoes are a mess. But I wear t-shirts that are made by companies that associate them selves with the skateboarding culture. I like the skateboard culture because they never seem to care about much and like they are laid back. I consider myself laid back that I don't worry too much about things and that everything will be okay, so in a way the way I dress can portray this even if it is only through a t-shirt. 

I also model my self on Liam Gallagher slightly this is because I wear clothes from his clothing company Pretty Green. I wear his clothing because I think that it looks very smart clothing, even if it is just a t-shirt with the logo on it still looks very nice and smart. Also that it can be worn when you are trying to look smart but also when you are just dressed normally. I also like this clothing because it is a modern spin on the mod that a lot of the clothing sold by pretty green are many remodels of old mod designs or styling, an example of this is the fishtail parka that pretty green have taken it and made it so it looks less like a military jacket and more formal and smart looking so it fits in more with the suit style. 

I think that I don't consciously copy or imitate these Celebrities or cultures apart from skate boarding clothing. I wear the skateboard clothing because I like the style of it this is because it looks nice also that it is designed to be comfortable and casual clothing and I like that aspect of it that you can wear it and feel good about yourself. I think that I don't consciously copy celebrities I just dress in a certain way or act a certain way which then may come off as looking or being like celebrities. Also it may be Liam Gallagher's company but he doesn't design the clothing so in effect I'm not copying Liam Gallagher just designs that he likes.
